“Just spent 3 nights at this new site and what a warm welcome we received from owners Norma and Bob. They could not have been more helpful.
Only been opened a few weeks and they work tirelessly all day to make your stay a pleasant one. They have plans to extend and improve the site, but we had no complaints at all.
Toilet block with high spec fittings, immaculate. Disabled wet room and separate showers with plenty of room. Cleaned constantly. A separate utility / kitchen for washing up and making a hot drink ect.
Hard standing pitches, camping pods with electric, tent area. Communal fire pit / barbi area ( with free wood / logs )
Lovely walk around site along stream with water falls and plenty of wild life.
Plenty of walks off site to local reservoirs ( map available from office )
Local pubs and take aways,
Short drive to Shaw large shopping area, Bury and Hollingworth Lake.
Going back as soon as we can.“
“This site is a little Gem beautiful setting
Hard Standing pitches with excellent EHU and a new toilet block with above standard fittings cleaned several time a day by Norma (one of the nicest people you could meet)
There is a small kitchen with washing up facilities CDP and fresh water
This site also has Camping Pods which are very well maintained
We have already book to return
Thank you Bob and Norma who made us feel so welcome”
“I have been camping with my caravan tent for 2 years now and stayed in quite a few places, This campsite is a new one (Newly build) It was Fantastic! when we arrived were greeted with a friendly and smiling couple who own the site, Told were to go and they couldn’t do enough for us, info, electric, remote for the barrier (deposit left for remote and key which we got back), key for the Toilets and showers ETC! The toilets and showers were new and to a very high standard and free to use (lovely hot shower and very clean!!) Over all a great campsite site for all camping! Will recommend it highly!!
“Stayed here on a wet bank holiday the owners of the site could not do enough for us and are keen for any input on the site as it has only been open a few weeks. The toilet block was up there with a bouquet hotel and has a small utility room for washing up and making a brew etc, with pans and cup. There is a communal fire pit near the tent area which is supplied with free wood which the owner will light for you if required. Lovely site well maintained with a brook with waterfalls running through it 😀👪 great job Norma and bob x”
All praised there first visit to the Piethorne Valley, with up to 40 scout leaders & friends enjoying a good night round the large campfire and disco marque, And we can only praise there good conduct and the spotless way they left the campsite and would be welcomed back at any time.
The campsite has been chosen as the venue for Laura’s birthday party and they have taken over the whole site so it should be a good do and we hope she has a great birthday
